Does anyone have any further information on this? I would like to know if any action is being taken against the landlord/tenant where the shooting took place...

i didn't hear about that, but that's too close to home. not a good thing.
I've live a few houses from where the shooting took place. I have spoken to the landlord who is exercising due diligence in working through the issues with his tenants.
I along with other neighbors have faced a summer-long 'gravy train' of suspected drug dealing out of a string houses, including this one, into the deeper West Ward.
Information has been passed along to EPD.
Moving forward, as chair of Easton's Gang Prevention Task Force I will be recommending the creation of a strategic framework of our collaborative partners and others designed to help intervene and prevent an escalation of violence like this.
In this case residents, EPD, HUD and the landlord all had pieces of information about this house but we failed, due to the absence of a strategic framework, to fuse together to share the information and intervene while it was simmering and possibly prevent an escalation of violence.
Having worked closely with EPD and other organizations, when we do fuse together to intervene the results are often very positive.
The landlord should be applauded, though I cannot share too many details, but he acted head and shoulders above what would ordinarily be expected.
