Guardian Angels Get Credit from Police Chief

It's about time!

Morning Call Article on Guardian Angels and Easton Ambassadors

What I'd like to know, is why some of our Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) money can't be used to have the Easton Ambassadors cleaning up the West Ward too?

Why are we being told that 100K for a pool on the South Side is money being spent on the WW? Or the 200K for code enforcement in the WW, for that matter, when Dave Hopkins, the Director of Parks told me that code enforcement isn't worth it and that we should just do more neighborhood cleanups? Or the 40K for shade trees that has now been cut? That's 340K of CDBG money that should be coming into the West Ward, since CDBG money is supposed to go to low-income neighborhoods.

I know the City is strapped for cash, but at least be honest about it. Say, "we need your money, so we're taking it this year so the City can survive." And don't tell me a pool on the SS in money being spent on the WW--I'd like to know where the rest of the $920,000 is being spent--does anyone know?
