Canton Nominations for the Steering Committee

Igho has asked me to post the following request for nomination from the cantons for the Steering Committee--please meet with your canton soon to discuss who you would like to nominate:

"The steering committee would welcome nominations for residents of the West ward who want serve on the Steering Committee at the December 8 meeting.

From our point of view, this should be done gradually with Cantons that are already organizing individually. So two nomiantions would be in order at the December 8 meeting. Another two nominations say in March and so on until we get all the slots filled. Cantons that have actually seriously discussed this in their meetings shuld send us the names of their nominees and we would put it on the agenda. The agenda would be prepared on Wednesday December 3. So let's have them by December 2nd.
