New Poll and West Ward Candidates for City Council

We have two candidates so far who have announced their intent to run for the West Ward City Council spot: Edward Elam and Karen Dennenberg. It is great that we're getting such a jump on the race, and there is still plenty of time for other candidates to come forward and run as well. Below are the important dates to keep in mind with regard to the City Council election, and if you scroll to the bottom this page, you will see a new poll is ready for your vote. The poll is asking the same question as before, with some new answers added that have come out of our canton meetings. The intent is to see if, with more people voting (since we continue to grow), and some time passing, whether or not our main concerns have shifted at all. On the last poll we had 25% participation in the poll--which is good, but the more of us that vote, the more accurately the results will represent the concerns of our majority. This will help our candidates to know what is foremost on our minds and which issues we want represented with strength by the representative we will elect to City Council.
