I just wanted to thank everyone who made it out on a cold winter night in the sleet and slush to be a part of the collective West Wardian voice for change in our neighborhood last night. I counted 52 people, which is a great turnout for the middle of February. Michael Duck of the Morning Call covered the meeting on his blog, and I've pasted a link to the article below:
Please post your comments here, so that those that could not make it last night get to hear different perspectives on how our third neighborhood meeting with the mayor went.
Note: When I brought up the results of the blog poll at the bottom of this page, Laura pointed out that only 37 readers voted, not the whole readership. While this is true, that is over 33% of the known readership of this blog, and I hear that's a pretty successful percentage in the polling world : ) Thanks to everyone who voted!

I think everyone is doing a great job and we need to keep the pressure on. One thing that can help the garbage problem is if we can get people to have some pride by cleaning their gutters like we use to. We also need to have garbage put in garbage cans just like the suburbs so it isn't ripped apart or laying loose on the curb waiting for the next 30 mph wind to take it to the next block. I'm always amazed at how neat and clean those areas are with all their trash cans neatly lined up.
