Neighborhood Summit Meeting w/Mayor Panto, this Wednesday!

The West Ward Summit
With Mayor Sal Panto

Wednesday, February 18th, 7 PM
Easton Community Center
(Corner of Washington & 9th Streets)

Do you think our issues brought up in the last two resident meetings in the past year and a quarter of Mayor Panto's administration have been addressed adequately? This is our Neighborhood Summit Meeting as part of the new Home Rule Charter. Bring your ideas and concerns. Ask direct questions and insist on direct answers. There is one day left to vote in the poll at the bottom of this page, and once again, Code Enforcement re: Slumlord and Garbage has moved into first place as the number one issue on West Wardians' minds. Wednesday will be our chance to find out what progress has been made.

See you there!

I attended the meeting, my first in several years, and was impressed by the questions posed to the administration. As a Westwardian of 33 years I have seen the good and bad of the West Ward. Saying that, the most important issues today are the same as they were 5, 10, and 15 years ago. Bad landlords, litter, code violators and safety continue to be the primary concerns.

I am equally impressed with the passion of the newcomers to the "Ward." It is pleasing to know that as I continue to battle for my neighborhood, there are others taking up the sword.
