There are two important meetings on Monday: this month's General Canton Meeting and the Zoning Board Meeting that will have the proposed wholesale beer distributor on the agenda. Below is a message from Sophia Feller of the West Ward Neighborhood Partnership:
"After much consideration, we have decided to keep the General Canton Meeting on Monday, March 16 and move the starting time from 7:00pm to 5:45pm.
We have moved the meeting to an earlier time to accommodate canton members who want to attend the zoning board meeting at 7:00pm that same night at City Hall. We decided it was best to keep the meeting on a Monday, rather than start changing the day of the week on people. The unfortunate part of having the meeting earlier is that people who are commuting from work will most likely be unable to attend. But for those of you who are commuting, come anyway, even if you can only make part of the meeting.
This will be a short meeting. One of the items on the agenda will be deciding another meeting date for the general canton meeting, as the third Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. will now conflict with the zoning board hearing meetings. Do we want to move back to the second Monday? (The first Monday of the month is the WWNP Steering Committee Meeting)."
