The animation of West Ward neighbor, Maciek Ulbrecht, will be featured in collaboration with Rosie O'Donnel on Sunday, January 31st at 7pm in a new show called A Family Is A Family on HBO. You may remember Maciek's animated pieces in the Movies at the Mill film festival held in our neighborhood at the old Simon Silk Mill. He has also presented locally in collaboration with another West Ward artist, jazz pianist Patrick Poladian, and one animation piece that Maciek did of Patrick playing at the Starfish Brasserie is on Maciek's new blog, MAGIK World News, which I have linked on the side bar on the right of this page.

I think that is far too long that the local talent is highlighted,especially the talent in the "WEST WARD". Hopefully this will be the year where "we" begin to see many changes and the tide to continue to ebb towards shore. Congratulations Maciek,on a job well done and for helping to pioneer some positive recognition for our area. Long overdue.....
We loved seeing Maciek Ulbrecht's creative work at the Silk Mill film festival. We also love Rosie and the justice work she does - what a dream team!!
