Last Garden Potluck of the Summer Tonight at the 5th & Ferry Community Garden

Summer is coming to a close, and the community gardens are ready to harvest! Bring a dish to the last garden potluck of the summer at 5th and Ferry Street tonight--
and bring a bag so you can take some vegetables home with you!

A message from Joanne regarding tonight's get-together:

Hi All,
Our last pot luck of this season will be this Friday, 9/17, 5:30-ish.  Please join us if you can.  As always- great food, conversation and view.  And, at this point, the weather looks great.
The 5th St. Community Garden is still producing tomatoes, beets, basil and swiss chard.  We expect to have some lettuce and spinach available this fall.  Thanks to volunteers we're finishing up our second successful growing season.
We're always looking for fellow gardeners to join in on the fun.  So please let us know if you're interested.  Springtime is quite busy and we can always use extra help getting the beds ready and planting.
Thanks,
Joanne

it was great to see everyone at the last garden get-together of the summer--there are still lots of vegetables ready to be picked, so please go help yourselves at 5th & Ferry!

and special thanks to Joanne, who has been taking care of the garden all summer, along with other neighbors nearby...

Joanne...

Thanks for a great end-of-the -summer event.

Is there an Oktoberfest in our future?
