Dennis, congratulations on your new assignment. It's even better you are directly employed by CACLV. I hope they can stomach your bluntness. Alan can to some extent if there are no other people whispering into his ears. You are focused and I am hoping you will survive the hot water politics of CACLV. You might want to call Gary up and learn his survival skills in that area.

Thanks. I think I'll skip the Gary invitation. If sheer survival were my goal I'd be doing something else. I'm looking more for documentable success. I've had my issues with lots of organizations in Easton over the years but I'd rather start this job with no baggage or preconceptions.

I've always prided myself on the fact that I get mad about important issues or bad ideas without demonizing the people behind them. We may need to work together with those people on something else in the future. Esther and I want to move forward with a clean slate, evaluating everything with fresh eyes.

Because the civic relationship goes back before this program, Alan and I can say pretty much anything to each other and not take it personally so I am anticipating no issues there.
