The Boys and Girls Club Teen Center has extended their hours for their holiday schedule, and there are opportunities to volunteer by reading stories aloud to children on Thursday and Friday this week from 11:00am - 3:00 pm. Please see the remainder of the holiday schedule below:
Tuesday & Wednesday, 12.21.10 & 12.22.10: Programs hours at the Easton 1:00pm to 9:00pm
Wednesday, 12.22.10: the Club's Annual Kids Holiday Extravaganza Party for youth members 5-12 years of age, takes place from 6:00pm to 9:00pm , with Festive food and activities, gifts galore and a visit from Santa.
Thursday, 12.23.10 & Friday, 12.24.10: During the Holiday school break, and especially in support of working families, Club program hours are extended with operations 9:00am until 5:00pm . On Thursday the Club will offer a kids’ ‘Read Out Loud’ session between 11:00am & 3:00pm , and offer club members a free children’s book fair. Club kids presenting a report card can earn a book or two of their choice. In addition, the Club is seeking volunteers from the community to be ‘Readers’ for the youth ‘Read Out Loud’ session: if interested call, Dean Young on 484 239 2075 .
Friday, 12.24.10, Christmas Eve: The Boys & Girls Club collaborates with the Spirit of the Lehigh Valley Easton Teen Center 1101 Northampton Street 10:00am or 2:00pm , to the Holiday Inn Conference Center
Saturday, 12.25.10, Christmas Day: The Boys & Girls Club of Easton and the Easton Teen Center
During the week commencing December 27th the club’s extended operations hours are:
• Tuesday, December 28th, 2010 – 9:00am until 5:00pm
•Wednesday, December 29th, 2010 – 9:00am until 5:00pm
•Thursday, December 30th, 2010 – 9:00am until 5:00pm
•Friday, December 31st, 2010 - Closed New Year’s Eve
•Saturday, January 1, 2011 – Closed New Year’s Day

This is all about TIME.If the child has time there will be people on every turn to teach them WRONG THINGS.we have to use that time to teach them Right THings.It takes a village,not just 2 parents.I know a prominent person in the city who use to frequent the boys club....We cant let those young lives slip through our hands...THEY are our FUTURE people....tunsie
"it takes a village"--tunsie, you're right--and this is a great opportunity for people to take an hour to get to meet the kids in the community themselves--to make a personal connection and have a positive impact on youth in our community.
