Dealer Busted on 1400 Block of Lehigh Street

Posted by: Noël Jones

The Express-Times reports that Jerome Evans was busted today in his basement apartment on the 1400 block of Lehigh Street with 270 packets of heroin and 9mm hand gun at the end of a sting coordinated between the Easton Police Department and state police.

Please remember to thank our EPD officers when you see them!

another great effort plus I hear from neighbors that the cops called in the code department for various violations including an illiegal basement apartment. Fry the landlord........if the judges let you.

Well, can't help but offer a thank you to EPD, and the codes thing is a nice touch.
In this Noel and I agree, letting on publicly that we appreciate such things is never a bad idea.
Blessings,
David

I'd love to know if there is any indicator that the landlord knew of the drug dealing and if so if the city or state might be in a position to seize the home?
There are a fair number of landlords locally who turn a blind eye to drug dealing and such, and the property seizure laws were written to help communities like ours deal with such people.
Peace,
David
And just an aside- someone in an illegal apartment doing something illegal?
Who'da thunk it :)

seriously the city NEEDS to start seizing apts when there is a drug raid! I don't but the idea that the landlord 'didn't know'; WTF? isn't there an OBLIGATION to inspect the apt and do a background check on the renters? if not, then there should be.
just by doing this you would get rid of the drug problem, because I find it unlikely that people that OWN a home would be selling drugs out of it (or maybe I'm an idiot).

Honey,I deal ith the EPD all the time.they dont deserve a paycheck.they deserve a a MEDAL.these guys go through HELL,just in one day...I can give U millions of examples that I have seen first hand, when somebody says something bad about them,it infuriates me.I think to my self that they wouldnt want to walk in thier shoes for a day.vince bruneo comes in 2 or 3 days a week on his own and asks if everything is ok.when terrance and the two great minds who think like him were telling me that the EPD were corrupt,I lost it.....I love U noel........Tunsie
