Get Your Dress On! YWCA/YMCA to Host "Prom Dress Day"

Posted by: Noel Jones

Here's a sweet idea--donate your old prom, bridesmaid and party dresses, accessories, and unused make-up for girls who can't afford to buy them for this year's prom. Collection goes from now until March 31st, and you can drop them off at either the Bethlehem YWCA or the Easton YMCA (see above for more details)

If you need a prom dress, you must a) be a girl, be a junior or senior, and c) bring a school I.D. You may bring only one guest with you, she must be female, and no children are allowed:

Prom Dress Day
Saturday, April 2nd
9am - 2pm (seniors are invited at 9am)
The State Theatre
453 Northampton Street
Easton, PA

Please pass on a link to this post to anyone you think might need a dress, or have dresses to donate!

Actually some dresses are new with the tags still on! I worked the event last year and most every girl that attended left with a dress that they were excited to receive.

that's really cool. i will have to look through my closet since it seems like girls wear regular cocktail dresses these days, rather than the embarrassing froo-froo shite of my 80s adolescence...
