Colin McEvoy of the Express-Times reports on the latest in the Easton Area School District's negotiation with our local teachers' union, and the union rally scheduled for next Wednesday...

I am surprised that you haven't commented on Colin McElvoy's article about the obscene pay increases the Easton teachers have received in the past 3 years. It's disgusting, and I hope the residents rally on Wednesday to let these greedy bastards know how they feel about $25,000 pay increases over 3 years, and they would not vote to freeze their pay without any of the conditions (like working 3 less days a year!) Deely forgot to mention in his press release and YouTube bit.
Colin McEvoys article is linked in my post.
Noel:
I am referring to the following article:

Noel has correctly stated that this problem exists because the current school board is comprised of idiots (my words, not hers; she was much more tactful) who voted for a contract they never read.
I finally found something on which I can agree with whiny-boy Deely: some years back, Easton teachers WERE under-paid. This obviously no longer applies (even by NJ standards).
Here's the rest of the link that Boogie meant to post. It's almost impossible to post a usable link here. The hard copy reads much better than the on-line one:

Thanks for the links!
Yes. The idiot board stated their goal as pay parity with other districts in our area. Now they want to punish teachers for finally achieving it? Make them the bad guys? I'm not buying it. According to the districts own pay stats nearly all the teachers in the district have masters degrees plus. $65,000 is not an out of whack average salary for the level of education and training the teachers in this district have.
