Free Music on the River TONIGHT (Friday)!

Free live band from 7:30 to 9:30 tonight!

Posted by: Noël Jones

The Easton Main Street Initiative is sponsoring a live music series both on the Delaware River at the newly renovated Riverside Park Ampitheater and at
Centre Square downtown. Check this Express-Times link to see a full schedule of planned performances. All shows go from 7:30 to 9:30pm on Fridays and are free to the public.

Above is a photo of Riverside Park Ampitheater where the stage is set for this Friday night, when The Ultra Kings, a rockabilly/surf/rock band out of Coopersburg, PA, will kick off summer with a live performance. Between the opening of the Farmers' Market, the Chansonette Fringe Fest, the Art of Urban Environments Festival, and this music series, this weekend it is turning out to be action packed!

When I drove downtown to get this photo, I noticed that the grass is finally starting to come up in the new landscaping along the river and the trees are all starting to leaf out--a lot more people are hanging out on the river this year than I've ever seen before--it's getting pretty!

It's going to be a really good summer...

The amphitheatre portion of the waterfront improvements looks great. I can't wait to be at the concert tomorrow night. I also read that there will be a lot of activities at the parks.

The entire waterfront looks lovely. Kudos to all involved. It makes Easton look fabulous at the Free Bridge gateway into the city.
