MUST SEE VIDEO: Residents of Bradford County, PA Speak Out About the Recent Natural Gas Well Blowout

Posted by: Noël Jones

Notice how many large trucks go by in what used to be a quiet little Pennsylvania community, in the background of these interviews in this video by Melissa Troutman. Among other things, this local politician in Bradford County, PA describes how one resident's formica countertop became pitted when tap water spilled on it after the blowout, as if eaten by acid. This is the same stuff being dumped into the Delaware River--our tap water source. Are you ready to fight yet?

Please pass a link to this post around to anyone you may still be trying to convince of the seriousness and time-sensitive nature of this issue! Sometimes video and film get the message across to people much faster than articles or conversation...

David, I have deleted your comments, not just because they are offensive, and because they made no coherent sense, but most of all, because they are completely OFF-TOPIC, which as you know, is a major pet peeve of mine.

how a post about fracking seemed an invitation to rant about racial issues, i have no idea. but please refrain from commenting on this blog unless you can stay on topic.

you mentioned that you were starting your own blog, and that's a great place to rant about anything you choose, and anyone interested will follow you there. but readers come to this blog to discuss news and events, and the news in this post is a well blowout from fracking for natural gas in Bradford County, and the general threat of drinking water contamination to all of us from the acceleration of drilling with this process in PA.

there is only so much digression that you can get away with blaming on smoke-inhalation. please stay on topic, or start your own blog.

Ron--thanks for passing on the link. The films GASLAND and SPLIT ESTATE (both available on Netflix) also get the severity of the situation across to people very quickly.

thanks, I do get a bit off point sometimes. Still, I do hope the day comes when this mess affects someone who matters.
Peace,
David
