1st Candidate to Announce for West Ward City Council Seat

The first official announcement of a candidate for the West Ward City Council seat has been made in the Express Times in the article below. This is great to hear, and I have also heard that there are a couple of other candidates planning to announce soon as well, so it looks like the West Ward is going to go from politically invisible this year, to having a full blown primary! Once all candidates have emerged, we should hold a Meet the Candidates event, so that we can all hear the candidates speak about their platforms and experience, and ask questions to help make our decisions:

Please post comments as to issues most important to you so that the candidates can refer to this blog for input during their campaigns.

This is exciting!

Exciting? Until yesterday, his Myspace.com site was covered with the hammer and sickle. And he's using the Boys & Girls Club for his own agenda.

An excerpt:

"The Cantons will be our backbone…With the aid of the Future Leaders of Freedom Project the Cantons will obtain political autonomy from the larger-City, have elections and full-time employees. Their common goal is the the localization, democratization, and socialization of communal resources (food, housing, energy, education, employment and water)…We want economic autonomy from the city, state, and fed to ensure our funds are not cut by outside, indirect, and unaffected forces. This will be a blazon display of Democratic Socialism without the fear of ignorant anti-socialist attackers in the community and from elsewhere.

I ask you again, help me comrades. If you believe in socialism and democracy please help by donating some of your time and resources to our Campaign and Project."
