For those of us following this issue closely, here's the latest on the wholesale beer distributor that wants to open shop at 1125 Northampton:
The Easton Planning Commission voted unanimously at a meeting last week to recommend a variance be granted for a proposed wholesale beer distributorship on Northampton near a church, synagogue, a school, and across the street from the Salvation Army. There were WW residents that spoke against, and in favor of the variance, and they are mentioned in the articles below.
Whether you support or oppose the business owner's desire to open at this location, if this issue matters to you, the next step is to attend the Zoning Board meeting where the variance will actually be granted or not granted--come and make your voice heard--or just come and observe--either way it's a good way to get to know the system, how it work and our part in it all:
Zoning Board Meeting
Monday, March 16th, 7pm
City Hall Building on 3rd Street, 5th Floor
(next to the Crayola Building)
