The Latest on Crime Prevention in the West Ward

I've pasted two articles below--one on a bust in our neighborhood early this morning, and one on a grass roots outreach program that Terrence Miller and others have started in the West Ward:

In other news, a few neighbors have reported seeing bike patrols in the West Ward, so they are up and running now. Community Liaison Officer Remaley has asked me to get the word out that the EPD is depending on us to feed them tips for their bike patrols. They are also going to begin ticketing heavily for nuisance crimes like double-parking, boom basses in cars, etc., so please do not hesitate to call the EPD if people are breaking the noise ordinance (40 feet) or cars are double-parking and carrying on suspicious activity.

Contact info for reporting crime in the neighborhood:

If the situation is urgent: call 911

EPD Non-Emergency:  (610) 330-2200

For passing on tips, email Officer Remaley at: jremaley@easton-pa.gov.

Try to be as specific and detailed as you can in your descriptions, date/time/location, height/build/age/clothing, car description/license plate/direction headed--all details are helpful to our officers in reducing crime in our neighborhood.
