More good news! There is potentially a new home purchase loan grant coming our way called the HOME Project, and we're invited to be part of the process--
The WWNP is required to have a public meeting of the HOME Proposal before the grant application is approved by the County Council in September. The proposal is for a forgivable home purchase loan for people buying homes in the West Ward. It would be funded through HUD and DCED and administered by CACLV. Below is the invitation to WW residents from Katharine Watt of CACLV for the public meeting:
"West Ward residents are encouraged to attend a public meeting on Thursday, August 27, at 6:00 p.m.
at the Boys and Girls Club Teen Center at 1101 Northampton Street to review and comment on the Northampton County HOME proposal being submitted to the state to fund housing in the West Ward. The project will be managed by the West Ward Neighborhood Partnership."
