YMCA Offers Bus Ride to Harrisburg to Support Pre-K Counts

The YMCA of Easton and Phillipsburg is arranging a bus to Harrisburg to take people, letters and children's art to the capitol to support Pre-K Counts, a program for at-risk children, whose funding has been tied up in the State budget debacle. Basically, Republicans and Democrats have been arguing so much that they didn't pass the budget in June like they were supposed to, so now all kinds of human services organizations are at risk of losing their funding and being closed down. Pre-K Counts is one such important program that is at risk because of this State budget crisis. Programs like this are very important to families in the West Ward, to help get children's development started in a positive healthy and educated way. Anyone interested in going can catch the bus at:

Friday, Aug. 28th
8:30 a.m.
