Easton Farmers Market Beats Out All Mid-Sized Markets and Ranks Third Among All Farmers Markets!

Posted by: Noel Jones

Well, the results are in and covered by Christopher Baxter on the Valley 610 blog--Easton Farmers Market came in at a narrow second place finish in the small market category, but beat out ALL medium-sized markets and came in 3rd place for ALL farmers markets! How cool is that?

I wish there were a way that we could continue the farmers market throughout the winter in an indoor space, so that the farmers that grow in greenhouses all year round could continue to bring us fresh produce...

Any ideas?

I volunteer at the EFM every week and I know that Megan and the City are looking for space. It would be great! Especially at the holidays. Last year we opened the day before Thanksgiving.

That's great news--I know that vegetables can be grown in people's back yards in hoops gardens all winter long, but the farmers have huge green houses and it would be so great to be able to continue to have a place to bump into neighbors and pick up fresh produce throughout the cold months.

I find it strange that I'm working at the only full-service Real Estate office in Easton, in the heart of Downtown; have been involved in civic activities for over a decade (including helping the state's former Agricultural Extension agent for this county, Phylllis Laufer prevent the market's demise six years ago) and have never had anyone from the Farmer's Market approach me about year-round space. How are they doing their search? Is anyone aware if they are working with another office or another Prudential agent from mine?
