my apologies to the artist, but the image sent to me was too big to screen grab as one image and even though i lined them up perfectly in the composition window, blogspot inserts a space between the images for some reason...
one caveat to anyone allergic to cats--jackie lima's studio had 5 cats the last time i visited, so as much as i would love to see the art, it would be one big asthma attack for me...
there will be some good paintings there though, so enjoy!
I am also allergic to cats.....I love jackie soooooooooooo much.....but on that day I dont have a date, and I dont go out alone because there is a crazy woman who I try to avoid......Tunsie
If Jeanette is home (weather dependent), and the project runs late enough, we will try to attend. We both love this sort of thing but we will be fashionably late. Thank you for posting this, it is exactly the sort of thing we need locally. Peace, David
Hi Noel, I would love to know more about the studio and the artists. It's great to hear about this in the West Ward! I have small children I instruct and wonder if it is something they could attend.
Donna R--I would call the info number on the poster at the top of this post and talk to Jackie Lima (it's her studio). The studio is in an old historic home on N. 10th Street, not far from the cemetery.
Hi David - You are welcome to arrive later that 8:00 as the event turns into a Valentine's Day Party after that. Hi Donna - Young children are welcome, however one of the works of art is a photograph of a female nude model. I would check it out first if you think that is something that would be disturbing to them. Hi Tunsie - I love yoooooouuuuuu tooooo!
EPD Non-Emergency Number: (610) 759 2200 or email Lt. Remaley at jremaley@easton-pa.gov
The EPD has asked WW residents to call the Easton Police Department Non-Emergency Number aboveif you see suspicious activity or people on your street, or see anyone breaking city ordinances, i.e:
--Noise ordinance: anyone playing music or making noise so loudly that it can be heard over 40 feet away ANY TIME OF THE DAY is breaking the noise ordinance. Do not confront the person yourself, please call the number above and an officer will respond. This includes boom cars--if the car is still there when the officer gets there, he can write them a ticket.
--Double-parking ordinance: double parking is illegal in Easton anytime the vehicle is not being used to load or unload.
--Loitering/vagrancy
--Public drunkeness
--Disorderly conduct
--Dogs off-leash
--Suspicious characters that you think might be waiting on your block to buy or sell drugs. If you can, get the license plate # while they are waiting, and then call it in. This can greatly assist the EPD in drug busts.
