Under-14 Park Banned & Good News on Bike Patrols

Hi Everybody,

Below is Michael Duck's latest Morning Call Article on the under-14 park ban:

In his Two Rivers Blog article, Michael also covers some really good news about EPD bike patrols (and officers on foot--both plain-clothes and in-uniform) coming soon to our neighborhood. I, for one, am really looking forward to seeing our officers out of their cars and more engaged with the West Ward (both with residents, and drug dealers!).  It is bound to help officers keep their collective finger on the pulse of the neighborhood, and help to reduce crime while emboldening residents to reclaim our streets this summer.  Please let me know as soon as you see an officer on a bicycle--and remember to thank them when you do see them!

This Administration surely seems committed to their clean and safe initiatives. Their commitment is amazing and I hope they continue. There was another actor taken out of our nighborhood on Friday and I heard their was another bust in a house over the weekend.

Keep up the good work. Great news about the bikes and walking patrols. The mayor so far had kept to his promises. So far anyway!

Thanks for the links, Noel! Excellent suggestion about asking readers to post when they see the bike officers -- I'll be watching to see what you all report.

Has anyone else but Anonymous seen officers on bikes in the WW already? I haven't seen any yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Please post with your name if you have. Thanks.
