Community Garden Potluck This Friday, June 17th

Posted by: Noël Jones

Below is a message from Joanne about the upcoming Friday potluck at the 5th Street Community Garden on 5th and Ferry Streets in Easton:

Hi friends and neighbors of the 5th St. Community Garden,

With recent rain the plants are taking off in the garden and, despite uninvited garden guests (bugs, squirrels, rabbits), the garden is thriving.  We've planted herbs, tomatoes, lots of veggies.  The lettuce is doing great and ready for harvest.  Come visit the garden anytime!

Every month during the growing season we have our garden potluck where we get to enjoy great food, conversation and view.  This month's potluck will be this Friday, 6/17, at 6:30.  Please join us if you can!

We expect to keep our winning streak of rain-free potluck weather this Friday.
Thanks,
Joanne

Future potluck dates-- all Fridays:
7/22
8/19
9/16

hey tunsie,

not to be a buzzkill or anything, but you're not the first person in the history of the world to create a roof garden...so, i guess you should hang one of those signs at the entrance to your own roof garden?

i love you tunsie! (i honestly do, i think you're a boon to the city's culture, and one of it's giants in the personality gallery)

tunsie,

i think you should find out who they all are and host a coordinated roof garden PARTY where everyone parties on their roof at the safe time, and shoots fireworks off their roofs at the same time (is this legal?)!
